THE JOB

The Art Director is essential in the creative strategy, conceptualising, and design of ideas for LOKi's clients. You'll be responsible for forming visual strategy and design with your cross-media design skills. Your responsibilities include interpreting briefs, drafting creative strategy solutions, project management, and overseeing design stages. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understanding the client's brief and coming up with exceptional visual layout and ideas to meet client’s objectives.
  • Work alongside your creative members for ideation sessions.
  • Craft and execute persuasive, conceptually compelling work for social media, digital campaigns and brand experiences with support from Creative Lead. 
  • Produce sketches, moodboards and storyboards to visualise creative ideas.
  • Work closely with Creative Lead and Project Managers to ensure the quality of content meets expectations of internal and external parties.
  • Manage and provide direction to the designers
  • Review and approve and amended designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by other designers
  • Assist with business pitches to win new clients or projects.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • Min of 2-3 years experience in the role of an Art Director in an agency.
  • Experience in working on a variety of digital campaigns and demonstrates high quality art direction, storytelling and a clean, contemporary design aesthetic.
  • Proficient use of Adobe tools - Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XD. 
  • Must have a basic understanding of Google Web Designer.
  • Able to demonstrate enthusiasm, curiosity and knowledge of digital culture and trends.
  • A collaborative, organised individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, embrace challenges and new ways of thinking.
  • A problem-solver who can identify and resolve challenges or issues effectively and maturely when they arise during projects and internally.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
